SMT is responsible for over 450 miles of groomed trails. We operate three Groomers, one owned by SMT and two owned by the State of Montana. We accomplish all maintenance and all operation of these machines and their attachments, valued at about $2,000,000. We apply each year to cover most of the cost, but are required to provide at least a 10% match to grant funds, and not all program costs are covered by grants.
