Ride Details and Route:
This year’s Veterans Adventure of a Lifetime: Off-Road ride is an epic journey in both military specification and civilian specification road-legal side-by-side utility vehicles, or SXS. The event spans from Prudhoe Bay in Alaska to the Mexican border in El Paso, Texas. We refer to this event as VALOR SXS 2023, as we expect to conduct additional events in subsequent years. This year’s ride aims to raise funds for active duty and veteran suicide prevention, while showcasing the exceptional performance and dependability of donated vehicles.
The route includes several stops and covers breathtaking landscapes, offering opportunities to engage with communities, promote the cause, and interact with military bases along the way. From Alaska to Canada and through the United States, we will document the challenges, triumphs, and impactful moments of the journey through photos, videos, and live updates on various social media platforms.
Objective and Cause:
Our primary objective is to raise funds and awareness for active duty and veteran suicide prevention. We strive to support organizations and programs dedicated to providing mental health resources, counseling services, and community support for veterans and their families. Together, we aim to make a meaningful difference and ensure that those who have served our country receive the care and assistance they deserve.
The cause behind the Veterans Adventure of a Lifetime: Off-Road is to address the alarming rate of suicides among veterans and active-duty personnel. Daily, approximately 22 veterans, active-duty and military family members lose their lives to suicide. We draw attention this toll on this year’s excursion by planning to complete the effort in 22 days. We believe that no one who has dedicated their life to serving our nation should battle mental health issues alone. By shedding light on the importance of mental health support and creating a network of resources, we can help veterans find the help they need and build a community of understanding and compassion.
Promotion and Exposure:
To generate widespread exposure for the cause, we have developed a comprehensive promotional strategy. Our social media campaign will showcase the journey in real-time, allowing us to engage directly with our audience and encourage them to follow and share our story. We will also collaborate with influential figures from the off-road and adventure community, as well as veterans and military advocates, to serve as ambassadors for the ride.
There are endless opportunities to spread the word about this event and cause. The Veterans Adventure of a Lifetime: Off-Road team will be going above and beyond to make sure this happens.
Business model:
Veterans Adventure of a Lifetime: Off-Road itself does not provide services directly to veterans, with the exception of those who are selected by the Special Forces Foundation to participate on the military side of the event. Finances for the event will be divided into two areas: sponsorships, and donations.
Sponsorships go directly to support the mission itself. The logistics of preparing, mobilizing (shipping), supporting up to eight side by side vehicles across nearly 6,000 miles in 22 days, and then demobilizing are expensive. Sponsorships may be general with no direct event participation, or ride-along sponsorships, where a portion of the sponsorship will be considered tax deductible; the remaining portion of the ride-along sponsorship is a transportation and per diem charge. Excess sponsorship funds will be treated as donations.
Donations will be accepted through our social media efforts permitting supporters to personally support our mission to mitigate veteran and active-duty suicide. 100% of these donations will be disbursed to the selected non-profit charities who provide program services in these areas.
Donor/Sponsorship Benefits:
As a valued sponsor or donor, you can support the Veterans Adventure of a Lifetime: Off-Road ride in various ways. Cash donations of any amount are welcome, and we accept multiple payment methods, including cash, checks, credit cards, and PayPal.
Additionally, we offer sponsor opportunities for a "ride along" experience. For example, you and up to two other people can join us in our vehicles for a full day of adventure at a cost of $2,500.00 per person. For brand sponsors, exclusive sponsorship opportunities are available, providing exposure in collateral marketing material, credits, and promotional content. Please contact us to discuss specific sponsorship options and corresponding sponsorship levels and requirements.
By donating or sponsoring the Veterans Adventure of a Lifetime: Off-Road ride, you contribute to an extraordinary journey and make a significant impact on the lives of veterans and active-duty personnel. We are grateful for your support, and together, we can honor our veterans and create a brighter future for those who have served our country.
